About studentgiri
A student zine and an AI study companion, built for the students the internet keeps forgetting.
We’re for the Tier-2 striver, the first-gen grad, the arts major, the late bloomer — not just the IIT-CS kids. Practical guides, real opportunities, and a chat that actually helps. Free. No login required to read. No fluff.
What we actually are.
Studentgiri started as a weekly zine: short, honest guides on the things classrooms skip — exams, focus, money, doubt, burnout, internships. That’s still the core of what we publish, every Sunday, in your inbox.
We also built a chat you can actually talk to — an AI companion that remembers what matters to you and helps you think through the messy, un-Googleable stuff: which course to pick, how to word that cold email, what to do when the exam stress just won’t quit.
Who it’s for.
Most student media assumes you’re at a top-tier college with a placement cell that has your back. We write for everyone else — the student figuring it out from a Tier-2 town, the first person in their family to go to college, the arts major who never got a career-guidance session, the person who found their focus a little later than everyone around them. If that’s you, this was made for you.
How we keep it honest.
- No paywalls, no login wall to read a guide.
- Opportunities are hand-picked, not scraped and dumped.
- The AI companion tells you when it isn’t sure — see our terms for the fine print on that.
- We tell you what we collect and why — see our privacy policy.
